Killdeer (Charadrius vociferus)
The Killdeer is a small aquatic bird with a brown head and back, a white belly, a black bill, and brown legs and feet. The field marks for the killdeer are two distinct black bands on its breast, a white supercilium above the eye, and a white band on its nape.
