The Red-Tailed Hawk is mainly a North American bird of prey. As the name implies, the red tailed hawk has red tails.

The red tailed hawk has a short curved beak, massive legs covered with white feathers, and large dark round eyes. Its head is light brown, and the flight feathers are dark brown.

The dorsal part of the red tailed hawk is white with dark brown patches. The hawks have good eye sights. This individual took notice of the camera and rather reacted harshly in the sight of the big black camera. Smaller sized compact type camera did not induce such behavior.
